Hello from Pennsylvania!
No, I didn’t chicken out and move home. I have a couple of appointments tomorrow that I had to be home for.
…AKA I missed my parents and really wanted to see them 🙂 Even though it’s only been a few weeks, It feels like I haven’t been home in forever. Crazy how quickly life can adjust like that, isn’t it?
I spent most of the day in NY working and gathering some belongings to head home.
…AKA one clean outfit and a few weeks worth of laundry (reason #3 for coming home. Ahem).
I threw on a comfy travel outfit.
…AKA something slightly different than pajamas and exercise clothes, which have been the norm lately. Hey, that’s what happens when you work from home.
I ate big bowl of my new favorite cereal, Cinnamon Burst Cheerios.
…AKA I finished off the entire box in less than 4 days.
I think General Mills should grant me a lifetime supply, don’t you?
A fresh coat of nail polish was a must…AKA I just covered up the chippage.

Now I’m spending the evening with mama – eating Chipotle and about to watch American Idol…AKA there’s no place like home.
Are you watching this new season of AI? No matter how sick of it I say I am, I’m just such a sucker for reality TV…!

I’m a long-time lurker, first-time commenter.
This may seem like a ridiculous reason to comment for the first time, but I physically cringed when I saw that empty cereal box in the garbage can instead of the recycling bin. Yes, I am the person who notices things like that, haha.

First of all, thanks for the comment! 🙂 Secondly, I feel ridiculous for admitting this but, I never even thought to recycle cereal boxes. I mean, now that I think about it, I *know* you can recycle cardboard (and just about everything, for that matter), but I only ever recycle cans and plastic/glass bottles :/ I do appreciate the reminder!
You are so lucky you live close enough to home that you can just pop on over…. it’s about a 12 hour drive for me if I wanted to do that :/
PS. Cereal = thebombdotcom. Especially cheerios. No shame in finishing off a box in 4 days!

Yup! I work remotely - everything is done on the computer and phone. I’m currently looking for something else, though!

I am definitely guilty of both finishing a box of cereal in less than 5 days and just covering up chipped nail polish!!!
I always cover the chippage if i”m using the same color! So much easier than taking it all off!!

My mom recently came home with a box of those cheerios (I still live at home). She was so excited about them, she told me when she grabbed them at the store she thought they were called “Cinnamon Bun” Cheerios, hoping they’d taste like cinnamon rolls, hehe. We realized what they were really called when she was showing me the box, but I haven’t tried them yet. Maybe they do taste a little like “cinnamon buns”?
if there was ever a cinnamon bun-flavored cereal, they would be it!!

I watched AI last night and LOVED IT! I really hate that’s on several times a week though-it’s really sucking my life away! 2 hours several times a week-come on?!?!!

Reading this just made me realize I had a dream I met the Kardashians last night, acted totally mum and we all became besties and went to the bar and had margaritas. If THAT isn’t the weirdest dream??
Also, laundry is the #1 reason to go home. Take advantage of that AMAP.
Mmm, cinnamon Cheerios! I must say those look good, but I have really never tried anything other than regular and Honey Nut! Have you seen the Chocolate Cheerios? I wonder if they’re good?

And in response to reality TV and Caitlin’s comment above, I had a dream the other night that I was Kendra’s personal assistant but Holly and her kept fighting over me so I ran away and got lost on the beach and lost all my stuff (Snookie much?). I think I need to take a break from it, but I know I won’t!
I just spent a few days at home too! It’s nice to do every once in a while! Everyone seems to be loving the new Cheerios…I picked up the box at the store but wasn’t sure if they’d be too sweet? It seemed like a lot of sugar on the nutritional info….? I miss AI last night but saw some of the previews and it looks like JLo and Steven Tyler are going to shake things up a lot more than other replacements have! I usually watch once they weed out the terrible people=)

I definitely go through cereal like that too! I rarely buy some kinds anymore because I’ll eat it so fast. So simple, so delicious.

Thank god I’m not the only one who eats cereal “fast”. And most of the time, i just eat cereal as a snack, not a whole meal. addictive.
