Notice the new header? I’m pretty excited about it 
I did love the other one (Ashley did a beyond superb job – homegirl’s a genius), but ever since I made the shift to Girl Meets Life I wanted something more…fitting. Not to mention I enjoy changing up the style here ever once in a while. I hope you like it!

The phrase “you only live once” used to top my list of annoying cliches.
…not that I have a list of annoying cliches, or anything.
Now? Now those are words to live by. I certainly don’t, but I’m working on it. So…
Spend your lunch break crawling around on the floor with kittens (trying not to strangle them, as I so carelessly did…).
Eat pasta. The white kind. Full of delicious refined carbs that will spike your blood sugar and leave you completely unable to process insulin. Gasp.

Enjoy the last few weeks of fall, rather than rushing into Christmas season.
Use “ice cream sandwich” as an excuse to eat two cookies at once.
Do something CRAZY….
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t that crazy, but it was kind of a big deal. Sorry babes, lips are sealed for now.

I agree with you that people rush, rush, rush through the year and don’t stop to really enjoy it and be in the moment more. It drives me mad to see Christmas stuff out the day following Halloween and I wish we could all just get back to basics and stop rushing through life. I guess I’m just old-fashioned, but I make no apologies:)
I’m currently on a mission to accomplish goals because “I only live once”. I’d say beginning my journey into bikini and fitness (can’t wait to start learning my routine in January!!!) goes along with this mantra. Seriously, 6 months ago I wouldn’t have even dreamed I could do it! My, how things change:)

I think my new motivational saying, which is similar to you only live once is,
“If you weren’t scared to do something, what would you do?”
I guess I would evangelize more….I mean I do with my lifestyle and behavior, but I would tell more people WHY I live the way I do and how Christ can give you peace in your heart and a meaning to your life that never fades.
I absolutely wish I evangelized more as well…especially here on the blog!

I like Thanksgiving almost better than Christmas, so I can’t understand why people skip it!

I think if I lived by the phrase you only live once, I would do all the things I normally do (like drink soymilk out of fancy wine glasses, wear my favorite outfits to work/class, make long itunes play lists)but I'd probably take more risks with the things that could make my life even better than it already is.. like applying for jobs in a different city just because, starting a blog, taking a cake decorating class) or even just starting a conversation with the cute guy in line at starbucks!

I had a “you only live once” moment this weekend when I said, what the hell, give me margarita the size of my face. Not that alcohol has to be involved in good times or anything - I actually don’t drink very often - but it had been a long work week and I just thought, I don’t care how many calories are in this thing or how silly I’m about to get, I’m drinking it!
It was a good choice. I giggled a lot and let loose.

I’ll fully admit that I’m a Thanksgiving skipper. Actually, scratch that- I love Thanksgiving, I just don’t like the awkward time between Halloween and Thanksgiving when it’s not totally okay to be ready for Christmas yet

I do live by that phrase! And because of it, I also live by the phrase “Do something, everyday, that scares the living s*** out of you.” Not actually *scaring* but something that takes you out of your comfort zone.
