Ever since I can remember, the day after Thanksgiving has been one of my favorite days of the year. Why? Because my family and I skip the shopping and instead spend the day decorating the house for Christmas. I mean, you know I love shopping and a good bargain, but staying my my pajamas all day listening to Christmas music wins by a landslide
I started the morning with a bowl of oatmeal and tea.

I love this Equal Exchange black tea. It’s bold yet refreshing. I drank it with a drizzle of honey.

My oatmeal was extra creamy because I cooked it in 1/2 cup of whole milk and 1/2 cup of water. Toppings were peanut butter and melted dark chocolate chips.

Warm and cozy breakfasts just scream the holidays, don’t you think?
And then…decorating ensued. Before:

Add some Christmas tunes…

Clearly the tree still needs some decorating, but we’re getting there! And by the way, I’m proud of our fake clean, non-allergenic, and perfectly symmetrical Christmas tree
Have a great Friday, lovebugs! Don’t get trampled down at the mall, k? xoxo G
- When does your family decorate for Christmas?
- Do you have any “kick off the holiday season” traditions?

Beautiful! I love the little nativity scene.
Awe Gracie that sounds like such a blast! I’m just about to make some oatmeal, myself
I cannot wait to decorate for xmas/officially begin the christmas music marathonnn! but, i’ll probably miss out on the christmas decorating since I head back to school in two days! such a bummer, but i’m sure my mom and I will decorate christmas cookies and watch old holiday movies once i’m back after finals! cannot wait for that.
have fun today! xoxox
Love the decorations! We go all out for Christmas too!
I love the feeling of christmas! You are way ahead of me girl!
I wish I was in your house right now. My parents are stinkybutts and say it’s still too early to offically decorate for Christmas. Well…I’ve been listening to Christmas music since Nov.1. I can’t wait to trim the tree!!
I’m SO excited to decorate-your’s looks great!
I can’t wait to start decorating!
That looks like fun! I wish my family celebrated Christmas so we could decorate!
We’ll probably start decorating this weekend or next.
My favorite “kick off the holiday season” tradition is pulling out the Christmas music, which usually happens the week before Thanksgiving. Haha.
i love all the decorations! its getting me in the spirit!!!
I’m ALL about getting into Christmas spirit asap after Thanksgiving. I’ve started to put out some decorations today and we’ll probably get a tree this weekend. I’m tempted to hang Christmas lights inside throughout our apartment but I’m not sure how Billy will feel about that.
Pajamas, oatmeal, tea and Christmas music = perfection. Enjoy!
I can’t wait to decorate my tree this year. I’m thinking white fairy lights, white and silver decorations and maybe a splash of colour, but I haven’t figured that out yet.
Ohh, sounds gorge!!
We tend to wait until the first few weeks of December to decorate for Christmas! And we always go cut-down a real tree!
cute decorations! i can’t wait to put mine up. oh and you can’t forget Christmas lights
That’s EXACTLY how we like to spend the day after Thanksgiving.
I love it and wouldn’t want to do anything else. I’m still in my PJs.
Your house is so cute! My mom and I have been slowly decorating as well; it’s so fun.
I love your decor!!
Once I get this dang homework outta the way, it’s time to decorate!! <3
oooohhh, how cute!
Your house looks so festive!
This is the only weekend that I’m home from school until the end of exams, so I’m hoping to do the decorating with my family tomorrow! We will definitely be blasting the Christmas tunes as well.
I firmly believe Black Friday is for nothing besides decorating! I can’t wait to get home and decorate my place!!
I always shop for Black Friday deals, then come home and decorate!
