What would you do if…
…you didn’t have any plans for this Halloween?
…you knew you wanted to move out, but were really really sad to leave your parents?

…you lived over an hour away from your best friends?

…you desperately wanted a mini horse, but will probably never get one?
…you really wanted to try a new tea, but didn’t want to mess up the pretty packaging?

…you just happened to have 1/3 cup of pumpkin left in the fridge?

…Clearly that was the only decision I didn’t have any trouble making 😉

I’ev dealt with alot of those questions, i took it to the extreme and moved 1000 miles away from home. It was not easy, it was scary and nerve wracking but in the end a very good decision.
Sometimes you just need to leap!
Gracie Girl! <3 You know how I feel about those first questions. You gotta be your best self. Is your best self an hour away surrounded by friends and being happy? Or is it right where you are with family being happy? Put you first, listen to your gut and PRAY. That's the only way I know. I'm here if we need another email session! Love you.
I live 14 hours away from my family and most of my best friends. I won’t lie and tell you that it’s always easy, but I will say that it was one of the best decisions I ever made and I would never do anything different
Listen to your gut! Really ask yourself whats best for you! How can you get your best life?!
Your parents will ALWAYS be your parents! I still live at home, so I can’t say anything!
But there is always skypeee!

It about killed me to move away from my parents, and I only live 40 minutes away!
And my very best friend in the world that might as well be my sister lives 5 freaking hours away. I struggle with missing loved ones a lot, but I just try to remember that missing people means I love them like whoa and that’s an awesome thing.
As far as Halloween goes… I don’t have any super-exciting plans, either. I find that it’s kinda like New Years - over-rated and not worth freaking out about! <3

Honestly, when I moved out of my Mom’s, it was hard! But it’s not that bad - you get used to it pretty quickly, and it makes you more independent in ways you may not have even expected. Good luck with your decisions - it’s not easy but making choices is usually better than just waiting for things to happen! (as you already know)

I am going to be a cannibal for Halloween so I can eat your cuteness.
hmmm….I really hope you didn’t intend that to be as creepy as it came across…
Brad says
Creepy? LOL you certainly misinterpreted it. That’s okay, re-reading it, it does sound a bit off. 😉

I moved away pretty far from home, too. I’m glad I did. Sometimes I envy people who live near their families, but I knew this was my own choice. Moving out and not too too far away is a good way to try it out.
Sooo here’s what you should do:
a) stay in with the fam, watch scary movies, make hot cocoa and pass out candy for halloween (i sware a bunch of my friends wish they could do that!! instead we’ll be hitting the frats with a ton of skanky freshmen-did I just say that?! hahah, whoops.)
b & c) move to where your best friends live! you’ll only be an hour from home, so you can easily head back on the weekends or even for a Wednesday night meal!
d) no comment
e) break in! the temps are dropping and nothing sounds better than a warm cup o’ tea!
and f) once you get more pumpkin, please….for me, make yourself a home-made pumpkin spice latte! recipes are flying around blog land and i cannot wait to try one out over thanksgiving break
xoxoxoxo
hehehe…I just love you
Um, I kind of wish I didn’t have anything to do on halloween. Such an overrated holiday- just enjoy the time with your parentals!! And use the time to beg for a mini-horse for Christmas
I don’t think I have any plans for Halloween either. Kind of a bummer.

i’m dealing with the same worries right now! i’m afraid to leave my parents, but then i imagine the wonderful life that i’ll be making all on my own - and i know my parents would be very proud of me for that. all i know is that i’ll gain strength and end up right where i’m meant to be. my best friends live in FL (i live in PA) and i miss them everyday, but it helps me to realize how special it is to have people who love you so much they’ll travel to see you! also - i’m watching tv and handing out candy with my grandma on halloween, i wouldn’t have it any other way
i wish you all the best, what’s meant to be will be! (and break into the tea and pumpkin and enjoy every bit, yum!)
Hey Arianna - thanks for this comment
You’re right…being far away from my best friends definitely makes me realize just how important they are to me! <3
Haha, glad to see you used that pumpkin up. I never really thought about mini horses before but now I want one. SO cute!!
Good luck with those tough decisions! I know how hard can be to make the right one, but I’m sure you’ll do it
It was super hard to move out of my parents house, but I’m sooo happy I did! I see them often and talk to them nearly every day, so in all honesty not that much has changed! Good luck!
I live nearly 3000 miles from my Mom and 2000 miles from Dad and have been for 8 years..it’s tough but also liberating!
omg! I am totally making that!!
Tough Questions!!! I would say at least for the moving part to milk it with mom and dad as much as you can. Now that I’m married, I sometimes miss just hanging out with my mom in the evenings on the couch laughing. THat’s something I can’t get back now that I’m gone!
It’s a tough decision to leave home but just go with your gut and do what will make you happiest! If you do move out, you could always stick fairly close to home so that it’s not too big of a change. 😀

Girl, I’ve got plans for Halloween but not that fantastic cat-mask you were rocking in the first picture!
My only hope for you right now is that your path becomes clear, sooner than later. There’s nothing harder than knowing that it’s time for change, and not knowing where the right place to begin is.
In the meantime, keep on chasing that mini-pony, lady!
girlfriend i am excited for your future! praying for you to have discernment. keep up those quiet times with the Lord- that is when He will reveal the most!
Sometimes I love posts like this! Few words = Picture stories
Hehe! I love your mask! <3
PS - I am addicted to scones - so good!

There’s an ocean lying between me and my family & closest friends. Of course it’s hard, but you get used to it- if I spent every day thinking about it I’d be depressed all the time! As long as you’re feeling fulfilled (by your job, your new city, a new relationship, etc.) everything will be OK. And now I feel like I should go Skype my mom :-).
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
