oh, hi!

I'm the girl, Gracie. Here at GML you can follow my journey of dreaming, working, eating, loving, dancing, and blogging my way through life in NYC.

the easiest treat you’ll ever make.

What if I told you there was a treat that included just three ingredients?

What if that same treat required no measurements and no baking?

What if the recipe could easily be doubled or tripled to give as a holiday gift?

Friends, dreams do come true.

chocolate covered pretzels.

ingredients:

  • pretzels
  • chocolate chips
  • sprinkles

Bing. Bang. Boom.

I kept this particular batch small, but you can make more while using the same ratios: 1/4 cup (or 112g) of chocolate per 6 medium-sized pretzels.

I actually used both dark and white chocolate chips – 2 tablespoons of each.

Microwave the chocolate chips for 90 seconds. The chips might not look entirely melted, but they will after a quick stir.

And then – the fun part. Dip the pretzels in the warm pool of chocolately goodness. Use a spoon to aid in the coating process.

Tap the pretzel on the side of the bowl to get off any excess chocolate (or not…depending on how much of a chocoholic you might be).

Place the pretzel on a parchment-lined plate, and immediately top with sprinkles. Or more chocolate.

When you’re done decorating, refrigerate the pretzels for at least 15 minutes to let the chocolate harden.

I don’t think it gets much easier than that.

Depending on your collection of sprinkles (I just happen to have enough to last a lifetime)….

…you can make autumny pretzels:

Oh, and regarding my extreme pickiness when it comes to enjoying chocolate, “when covering a pretzel” is definitely on my list of exceptions.
