While others were starting their Halloweekend with candy corn martinis and I’m a mouse, duh costumes, I created my own Halloween festivity.
…because everything is better in sundae form. I’m off to New York for the day. TA! xoxo G HEY boos! I know I say this every month, but this favorite month of mine seriously flashed before my eyes. With the holidays around the corner, though, I think I’ll survive. Let’s relive October 2010, shall we? food. For me, October was all about the baked goods. Whether I baked it myself or obtained via drive-thru, I ate some sort of scone, muffin, or bagel twist just about every day of the week.
I’ve also been loving spaghetti squash, which I actually didn’t like when I tried it for the first time earlier this year. If cooked the right way, though, spaghetti squash gets all sorts of soft and almost buttery. If you’re impatient like me, I suggest using Roni’s method for microwaving spaghetti squash. p.s. No matter how tasty spaghetti squash may be, please don’t try to fool yourself into thinking that it will replace real pasta. exercise.HIIT (high intensity interval training) has been a part of my workout routine about twice a week lately. Supposedly HIIT is good for your metabolism…or whatever. I just like it because it’s quick and gets to the point. It also makes for quite the SSS. beauty product.Confession: I don’t wash my hair every day…nor do I want to. Enter: dry shampoo.
They say it’s better not to wash your hair every day anyway. Whether that’s true or not, I’m in favor of any product that allows me to embrace my inner lazy girl. fashion. To me, the fall is all about rocking layers upon layers. Not only is layering a fun look, but it’s great for those days where you can’t decide what to wear. Wear it all! song.Undertow by Warpaint. workout song.Aquene’s Free the Night has 90’s dance song written all over it. What more reason do you need? television show.Gossip Girl has been a favorite of mine from the beginning, but this season is all sorts of cray cray! In a good, suspenseful-but-not-too-frustrating sort of way. …Although, is it just me, or is anyone else getting fed up with Katie Cassidy’s creepy character Juliet?? words to live by.“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. Preceded only by water and coffee, tea is my drink of choice. I sometimes drink tea throughout the day, but I almost always drink it right before going to bed (decaf, of course). My favorites are peppermint and green tea, but lately I’ve been all about big mug of Mighty Leaf Chocolate Mint Truffle.
Sounds like a dessert, doesn’t it? I’m definitely not one of those people who can drink only tea for dessert, but it does pair quite well with a slice of warm pie When it comes to bottled teas, though, I’m generally not a huge fan (Brisk and Nestea pretty much taste like poison to me). So when I was kindly sent some Sokenbicha tea to try, I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Turns out…it’s delish!
I’ve had about three of the flavors so far. They’re mild and refreshing…a decent replacement for my usual bottled beverage of Sprite Zero. I can’t say I know much about the health benefits of tea, but I do know that it has a ton of them. Tasty + healthy…? I’m sold!
