white chocolate almond butter bagel french toast.

Bagels.

The All-American, carbalicious, always-a-good-choice breakfast.

Give me someone who says they don’t love bagels, and I’ll give you a liar. I’ll also give you yet another reason to love the go-to breakfast of millions of New Yorkers.

what you’ll need:

  • 1 bagel (fresh or a defrosted frozen one will work)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons white chocolate chips

directions: Grease a non-stick pan or griddle and turn to medium heat. In a large shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and cinnamon. Cut bagel in half, and soak each half in the egg mixture for at least 30 seconds. Shake off excess egg mixture, and place bagel halves on the griddle. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to plate and immediately top with almond butter so it melts on the warm French toast.

Lastly, microwave the white chocolate chips for 45-60 seconds in a small bowl. Whisk to make sure it’s completely melted, and then drizzle over the bagel French toast.

I think you can take it from there.
