Hello there, weekend warriors!
Does anyone else find Saturdays to be incredibly confusing? It’s like…am I supposed to be marking things off my to-do list or laying around being a bum? Thankfully the day is long enough to incorporate a little bit of both.
The past 36 hours have been pretty uneventful in GML world. Yesterday morning was the long-awaited root canal, which wasn’t so bad after all! I’d say the worst part is having a slightly sore mouth, but there could be worse problems. Luckily foods that require zero to little chewing can be quite delicious.
I don’t usually eat canned soups, but at the store I found Italian Wedding (my favorite) and Thai Coconut (too interesting to pass up).
I also found Breyer’s ice cream on sale for $2.50. Don’t mind if I do!
Finding #3: Satan’s spawn Maya wreaking havoc on our Christmas tree.
Homecat (who I’m kitten-sitting until Friday) has quite the evil streak. She can’t be left alone for one second without finding some sort of trouble to get into. I’ll keep putting up with it, though, because she’s just so darn cute.
Next: I found THEE boots today.
I’ve been searching for a specific work + play compatible boot, and DSW came through for me yet again. I don’t know if I’ll even have the courage to take them out of the box…! Hint: it’s all about the wedge.
Last but not least, I found my new favorite song.
Let’s just say this song is making me reconsider my plans to stay in tonight

That kitten is adorable!!! The Husband is allergic to cats, and I’m not really a cat person, but we have this neighborhood cat who hangs out around our house. Early this morning (around 5) he was meow’ing outside our bedroom window.. I think he was cold and I felt bad. The Husband said he has survived many winters before us.

My tooth is still sensitive… but getting better! Something great came out of it though - I discovered Amy’s Soups too!! I love them!! I’m trying the Minestrone tomorrow

Maya is so freaking adorable!!! My kitten used to climb all in my tree when she was a kitten, too. They sure can do some damage for such cute, little things!

That kitten is precious!!!!! I want to hear what you think about that Thai soup, I have been on a big soup and chili (it’s actually on the menu for tomorrow) kick lately, and I’m always looking for new types!!
