It doesn’t take much to excite me.
For instance, one of my favorite things to do is explore new places, such as during mine and Amanda’s “secret mission” yesterday.

I also get a thrill from trying foods that I’ve seen time and time again on the Food Network. I’m cool like that.

That would be my very first Lobster Roll, and it was better than I had ever imagined. Whoever thought to put lobster on a hot dog roll is a saint in my book.
My next source of excitement: Paula Deen’s Gooey Butter Cake.

I exaggerate not when I say that this was one of the top 5 most delicious foods I’ve ever eaten. But then again, with 2 sticks of butter, 8 ounces of cream cheese, and an entire box of powdered sugar…how could it not be?
I followed Paula’s recipe to the T, and it was super easy. There were no measuring cups involved, and it was made in essentially just one bowl. It looked a bit like this:

Mmmmm. Now THATS a good breakfast. 😉
I love your clothesss! Ah, love Paula Deen, but not the butter!
No joke - I saw you tweet about this lastnight and I COULD NOT WAIT for you to post it on your blog, haha! And I’m glad you agree with me - no need for a boyfriend when you’ve got a cake like that, and friends like that
Mmm . . . love Paula Deen. I have actually made the chocolate gooey butter cake. It is so awesome and so freaking delicious!
i’ve made this before! i can attest to the fact that Paula knows what she’s doing when it comes to butter!! So good!
Can i ask about the jeans youa re wearing in that picture? they look super cute.
Hey Carm! My jeans are “Jolt” - I got them at TJ Maxx!

Anything Paula Deen makes with more than one stick of butter (or a pound of meat) is a winner in my book.
I’ve never tried a lobster roll before, but I feel like dishes that have one off-ish element (in this case, the hot dog bun) are always mysteriously the best.
Ooo gooey butter cake is totally from my hometown! Repping St. Louis!

People criticize Paul Deen all the time, but I think this is yet another example of why she is a *genius*.
Into the To Make file this goes.
I get really excited by trying out new recipes from cooking shows/cookbooks/blogs too. 😀 That cake sounds pretty amazing. I looove anything that resembles cheesecake!
You are too beautiful my dear! Such a cute outfit! I hearby declare we MUST do a clothes exchange. Except I suppose you would leavve looking much less cute if you left wearing my clothes.
That pound cake looks ridiculous!
One of my friends always makes that ooey gooey butter cake for parties. It’s so rich…but so so good.
