Hi dolls! Hope you’re having a lovely end-of-July weekend
I still can’t seem to grasp the fact that this year is already more than halfway over. Eek!!
break the fast.
I started my Saturday off with a quick but unbelievably good breakfast.
Yes, that’s a white chocolate macadamia blondie in my yogurt bowl. And yes, I’ll make just about any excuse to eat a blondie.
I also munched on some grapes.
work it.
After breakfast I headed outside for what is arguably the best workout I’ve had in weeks. I did:
- 15 minutes walking/sprint intervals (yes, I actually ran)
- 25 minutes strength training
- 10 minutes Yoga
I was a sweaty beast after this workout…not gonna lie. Clearly I’ve lost some of my exercise mojo! But it happens to the best of us, right? And, as I mentioned the other day, life happens. In my book, some exercise is always better than none at all. I’m sure I’ll be “back on track” soon enough!
food finds.
These might not be so new to everyone, but I’m pretty much obsessed with these new food finds! First off: TERRA vegetable chips.
I actually tried these for the first time last weekend at my friend Amanda’s house and was instantly addicted. I’ve never been a huge fan of potato chips, but Terra takes chips to a whole new level. So, I was thrilled when just a few days later the folks at Terra offered to send me some chips to sample
I’ve also been munching on Arnold Fill’ems.
These are pretty much like Arnold Sandwich Thins but in rectangle-form…
….and obviously the perfect bed for some dark chocolate peanut butter.
What new food finds have you come across lately?
I’m off to eat dinner with the family, followed by a night out with cousin-pie. Ta ta, lovebugs! xoxo G
- Do you lose your “exercise mojo” during the summer? How do you get back on track?
- Favorite new food finds?

I absolutely LOVE that you incorporated the blondie into your breakfast! Also, I am addicted to Terra Sweet Potato Chips. I get stressed when I see that my stock is running low! lol Now that’s just weird!
mmmm i love blondies! yours look amazing. i like your motto with exercise! being all-or-nothing with exercise and even nutrition can be so mentally restrictive and exhausting. plus i love when i take a break from running then get back into it because it’s like a new challenge
I actually feel like I gain my exercise mojo-works out well since it’s bikini weather! I FINALLY found red quinoa! I had the regular kind before but could never find red… can’t wait to try it!
Oooh! Your food finds look divine! no new food finds for me unfortunately
dark chocolate peanut butter? that’s it, i’ve moving back to your side of the world.
I definitely lost it this summer because of the heat. You just can’t run when it’s 85 and 100% humidity at 6am. And I don’t have a food find, but currently I can’t stop eating bagels, and yogurt messes.
oh, yum! your breakfast loooks amazingg- nothing like a refreshing yogurt bowl! As for exercise mojo- I only “lose it” when its really, really hot out. I dont mind the heat so much, its the HUMIDITY that gets me. The other day I went for a bicycle ride and felt like I was riding in just hot air for an hour. Needless to say the airconditioning was quite a treat once I got home

new food finds… hmm. Well I found this kettlecorn by Popcorn Indiana at whole foods the other day- in cinnamon sugar flavor! I love pretty much anything cinnamon sugar, so it was soooo good.
Great blog!!

The way you photographed that Arnold’s thing made it seem so huuuuge! I wish it were that huge in real life. I love me some carby goodness.
New finds: just how great kale is, and the greatness that is cream of zucchini soup.
Oh yes, I definitely lose my excercise mojo sometimes. Having a plan usually helps me get back on track. I just finished my first week of Gina’s Summer Shape Up and feel amazing. I think when we lose our mojo our bodies are just telling us we need a break!!
I agree with Kaley…who knew kale could be so awesome? I tried to like it so many times mostly raw, but now that I steam or kale chip it, it is SO much better.
I’d be making up any excuse to eat blondies with my breakfast too.. and lunch.. and dinner… they’d be gone before the day was over.
My exercise mojo has been wavering a bit lately, mostly because I haven’t been switching it up enough and have been pushing it harder than my body wants me to right now. Getting on track usually requires a bit of stepping back, rest, switching it up and a refreshed mindset. I’m working on it right now!
And coolest new food find = whipped peanut butter. Might have done a little dance over this one.
I love those new sandwich thins - so good! I find trying something new can help revive my exercise mojo. I was lacking awhile ago but felt re-energized by starting early AM runs!
actually, I’m all for exercising in the summer, biking and running and swimming, but, I’m taking some time off to repair my body.
New food finds…hm, sundried tomatoes. They are such a great snack! Salty and chewy, pretty good when you just want to chew on something
It’s so true that exercise doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Even something as small as getting out for a walk around the block shouldn’t be overlooked as exercise!
I actually have an easier time exercising in the summer because I have so much more free time! It’s harder during the year when I have to fit it in between classes.
I actually have the opposite problem- I lose my exercise mojo during the school year when I’m swamped with classes/studying! You have officially had me craving blondies for days now. And I love the look of those rectangle flatbreads, somehow they seem bigger than the circle ones! I have had so many great finds lately.. most notably the pb & choco larabar which blew my mind.
Your blondies looks sooooo good! I recently got some flax seed - it’s actually really good + it thickens up smoothies nicely.
PB2 and La Tortilla low carb tortillas are my latest finds. Hose chips look YUM!
Ahhh! Where did you FIND those Arnold fill ems thins? That’s fantastic! We already eat the sandwich thins so this would be perfect for grillin our chicken and turkey sausage. I’ve got to find those!:)
