we want YOU!

Hey love puffs! I’ve got to make this quick because today has been quite the busy day…

BUT I really wanted to take a minute to share some excited news with you all! Remember my Pale Is The New Tan post from a few weeks ago? Well, the response was quite overwhelming. A fellow blogger, Quinn from Daily Moderation, instantly reached out to me and was just as passionate as I was, so we decided to team up and continue spreading the word.

It was so great to hear that many of you have already or are planning on giving up the tanning salon. But let’s take that step further, shall we?

The month of May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Quinn and I want to spread the word that not only is tanning dangerous, but that we should make an effort to embrace our true colors.

That’s where you come in! Quinn and I will be featuring 1-2 bloggers each week during the month of May to share her/his story or experience with tanning. When and why did you decide to give up tanning? Did you work at a tanning salon and leave after learning about the harm it does? These are just a few examples of what we’re looking for.

If you’re interested in submitting your story, go ahead and contact Quinn or myself. We can’t wait to hear how you decided to kiss tanning goodbye!

We’ll also be posting other helpful and interesting information about the dangers of tanning and alternatives to get that sun-kissed glow without compromising your health. So stay tuned, baby cakes!

Daily Recap

This morning I had yet another doctor’s appointment, and this one went really well. Long story short, I met with a new endocrinologist, and she was amazing. I felt like I was visiting Dr. House! She really paid attention to every detail of my medical history, and came up with some new possibilities of what could be going on with me. I’m going to be getting some tests done within the next couple of weeks, so I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Breakfast was peanut butter toast and a spinach omelet:

And lunch was a homemade turkey burger with spinach and hummus on a Bagel-Thin:

For a snack I had a wrap smothered with macadamia butter and chocolate hazelnut butter.

And now? Now I’m heading off to meet my best friend Nicki for a dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Holla! I’m reeeally excited for some good eats :)

I’ll be sure to post when I get home tonight, k? xoxo G
