If you remember, last week I announced that I had become a member of Hollaback Health. I just wanted to give you all a quick heads up that I actually decided to leave the group yesterday. To make a long story short, based on some issues that came up, I realized that I’m just not on the same page with Hollaback Health’s philosophy. I am 100% in favor of encouraging health bloggers to share their unique voices and aim to provide more helpful and interesting content for readers. With that being said, though, it seems as though my idea of approaching that is different from Hollaback’s. And that’s okay. There were absolutely no hard feelings involved with this decision, and I definitely encourage you all to continue visiting Hollaback Health. The ladies that are part of that group are all sassy and smart and have some interesting things to say. But like I said, because we differed on some fundamental principles, specifically on how we would like to go about making changes, I decided to stick with GMH as my platform.
I’ve got to run because I’m actually heading for the shore for a couple of days. Yes - I said shore - typical East Coaster right here
Enjoy the rest of your day, and stay tuned for a 10 Ways post coming up this evening! xoxo G

Glad you made the decision that makes you happy
Looking forward to your next post!
After reading the last post (a bloggers blog) i dont blame you… kinda turned me off. I only stumbled upon it a few days ago and I don’t feel like I need to go back to it. But you’re so nice to continue to encourage people to read it!
girl i am so glad that you made your decision and did what you needed to do! YOU are strong and AWESOME <3
@Katlyn: I’m sorry that post turned you off, but I think there’s some GREAT content on there! I love this recent post on guilt: http://www.hollabackhealth.com/2010/04/oh-the-guilt/
I think all the recent (sort of irrelevant) craziness overshadowed some of the amazing and powerful things going on at HBH. I also wrote a post on why I’m (still) a HBH blogger. It’s not showing up on my blog yet (Grrr Tumblr technical difficulties!) but here’s an excerpt:
“I think, at its core, HBH was formed by a group of people who want to be better health bloggers and help others (who want to!) become better, too. I don’t think that mission is so controversial.”
That said, I respect Gracie’s decision to bow out and am still a big fan of hers.

That mission is not controversial. That’s why I joined HBH. I left for different reasons.
