Pardon me while I vent, but I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH MY BODY!!!!!!!!! I spent three whole days doing nothing but resting. I slept more than I have in the past few weeks. I didn’t exercise. I finally started to feel better. Then yesterday I started feeling a slight ear ache. It came and went, so I didn’t think anything of it. But last night, it came back with a vengeance. I pretty much never get ear aches, so I don’t know what the heck is going on. On top of that, the gland on the back left side of my head got huge…like, bigger than it’s been over the past few days. What the heck
So I started the other round of meds today, which are steroids. I tend to get weird side effects with steroids (nothing serious, though) so I’m little wary of that. It looks like I’ll be taking another week to rest as much as I can. All I want to do is exercise….so incredibly badly! I feel like my body is already completely out of shape, haha. Not to mention I’m totally blowing it with the I Dream of Running challenge. I will not give up on that, though. As soon as I’m feeling better, I’m going to be 100% on track, no matter how long it takes. K? K!
Other than the ear ache, headache, and horn growing on the back of my head, I’m just great. Haha, seriously =) Mostly because I’m going back to the mountains this weekend, which I’m majorly excited for. Hopefully I’m in tip-top shape by then because we’re actually going to make it to the slopes this time. AND I’m visiting the travel agent this afternoon (or tomorrow, depending on her schedule). I really hope this vacation comes together…I definitely need it. *Fingers crossed*
Breakfast this morning was a simple cheese omelet:
And I grabbed a banana to eat on the road.
Lunch was a delicious, filling salad of romaine, avocado, and tuna salad.
I also had some cinnamon-sugar almonds:
And Inko’s ‘Hint-O-Mint’ white iced tea.
Thee most refreshing drink. Yum. Cole - I thought of you while drinking this =)
Gotta get back to work. I’ll leave you with my weekly goals/to-do list, which I’m sure you’re just dying to see
- plan vacation
- review budget (with dad)
- work on getting new blog layout
- plan/pack for this weekend
- important doctor’s appointment (Tuesday)
- daytrip to the shore with mom to pick out furniture (Thursday)
- continue to rest my body
- try to start exercising again (*at least* some strengh training?)
- read at least 50 pages of Taubes
- finally see Avatar (?)

I’m also sorry to hear that you are not feeling good. I know it sucks! But rest you must. It’s only temporary, not forever. And i’d be willing to bet you are in amazing shape in comparison to most of the population. Hang in there! And hope you feel better!
Don’t you love weekly goal lists? It really helps to visualize what I want to get accomplished. I hope you feel back to 100% soon! Have you ever tried echinacea? It’s a plant which has amazing immune boosting properties. It comes in tablets and liquid ( I love the liquid because I just add it to smoothies and oj) You can find it at any health store. GNC, WF etc. Get well please!

YA GOTTA SEE AVATAR!!!! Gotta gotta gotta. I gave into the hype over that three day weekend i had at the beginning of the semester and went with a grew of 20 girls! EVERYONE loved it. And its a must see in theaters
