what's a girl to do?

*Sigh* tonight is the first Friday that I can remember that I’m not doing anything. I hate it!! I thought I’d want another night to stay in, but now I’ve majorly got the bug to do something. It’s for the best, though, because I think my body needs one more night to lay low. Not to mention I really just don’t feel like showering. TMI…sorry.

Afternoon snack was more almond butter “mousse:”

…which I threw some cocoa roasted almonds on top of, then inhaled. Woops.

Then I went out on some errands with my mom, looking a hot mess:

...still wondering why I'm actually posting this picture.

I got a bunch of cute new dishes, which I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. So look out for them in upcoming posts =)

Dinner was simple yet delicious. I grabbed a bunch of kale at the grocery store yesterday, and couldn’t wait to make it.

I started by sauteeing the whole bunch with garlic and olive oil for 3 minutes, then I turned the heat down and put a lid on it to steam for another 7 minutes or so. It cooked down a lot. Meanwhile, I sauteed a ton of shrimp in another pan with olive oil, garlic, and butter. Shrimp cooked without at least a little bit of butter is a travesty, in my opinion. All together it looked like this:

I haven’t had kale in a pretty long time. In fact, I’m pretty sure I didn’t like it the first time around. But I think sauteeing it really did the trick because it kept the kale flavorful but knocked out the bitterness. And I mean, you could sautee cardboard in olive oil and garlic and it’d taste good.

*Twiddles fingers.* Soooooo. What do I do now? Dessert, maybe? Movie? Hopefully I’ll just fall asleep soon. Whatevs. Hope you’re all having a more eventful night than me! xoxo G

What do you do when you stay in on the weekends?
