scenes from the weekend.

‘Twas a good one.

Anyone else think that Monica should start a sister blog to GML? 😉

Rewind to Friday where I ran errands all over the city, got my hair done, and enjoyed a coffee date with a reader. Hi Melanie! 🙂

Friday night was a friend’s birthday party at Henry, followed by a little FreelyBe shindig at Bounce.

Saturday included consisted of brunch at De Santos with some babes.

…don’t ask.

I spent most of Sunday laying around watching How I Met Your Mother…because I could. The lazy day was made complete with a nice stack of banana pancakes + maple almond butter. Heavenly.

Later in the day I peeled myself off the couch and headed out for a coffee meeting + church. Obligatory cab ride selfie – check.

Church was incredible, as usual. And I stopped at Whole Foods for a late dinner, also as usual.

And just like that, it’s Monday again. Will leave some inspiration for the start of the week..!

What was the highlight of your weekend? Do you prefer lazy or fun Sundays?

Ok I am officially lusting over your hair, it’s gorgeous! Anyway, I had a lazy Sunday too…it took me hours to get out of bed! In my defense, I still caught up on some blogging work while in bed so it’s ok right? Happy Monday!

Yesterday I spent with family as I helped out with a cousin’s baby shower that was thrown at my grandmother’s house. So many cute baby clothes and the cute barely-walking little boy made me melt!

I am desperate for a lazy day, though. I have so much to get done today, but I’m coming down with a cold and I’m exhausted so it’s turning into a lazy Monday…whoops!

The highlight of my weekend was probably buying two new bracelets at the craft store! Yes, it might sound strange, but it was a great deal and matches my outfits!

Monday comes so quick…. my highlight was Saturday night reuniting with all the friends 🙂 worth the completely unproductive sunday that followed haha

The highlight of my weekend was definitely church. The message was exactly what I have been needing and then being able to chat with four beautiful and genuinely wonderful girls was absolutely delightful. I feel so blessed to be a part of that community. Also, I prefer Sundays that don’t involve working.

sounds like a fun weekend..and it ended with the cherry on top with those banana pancakes! heaven as you say in deed!…anyway…I’m having mixed thoughts on that quote you posted “If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it”…. gosh… does that apply to anything?… everyone says I should let go of my ex because I’m in pain and that was what it was, and it should remain in the past, bla bla bla.. but few other friends tell me that if I really and truly love him I should fight for him… and that quote is just telling me to pursue the road I’ve been walking on for the past 2 years!… you just set my mind on fire lady haha..I’m blaming you!… kidding… what do you think about that quote anyway..I’d love to know why you chose it…
cool blog, I’ll keep in touch!

Hey Ivette! I see what you’re saying. For me, I think that quote applies more to dreams and goals than to people. The thing about relationships (whether it’s a friendship, romantic, etc.) is that it requires both people being on board to actually work. If the other person isn’t as invested as you are, than I personally don’t think that that is something worth fighting for. I hate to be all “tough love” on you, but why would you still want to be with someone who isn’t doing everything he can to be with you? If I were you, I would focus your energy on training yourself *not* to think about your ex so much, and instead on other things you want out of life!

The highlight of my weekend was our town’s Wine, Women & Shopping and scoring new eyeglasses for half off because of this event! 🙂 Also, seeing Free Birds with my honey yesterday and wishing my grandpa happy Vet’s day!

I prefer lazy Sundays by far…but they can certainly be the most fun sometimes. 🙂

I’m a lazy Sunday gal all the way and I am looking forward to the end of the semester so I can tell my work I will work all other days of the week except Sundays! They were always my favorite growing up, and remind me of spending time with my mom. I’m looking forward to my slightly lazy Sunday morning this coming weekend. It will be well deserved after this long week…
