say yes to SPF – my review of Cetaphil® Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 {+ a giveaway!}

Over the past few years I’ve tried at least a dozen skincare products and moisturizers, and each time I learn something new about what my skin needs and what I should look for in these products.

One of the things I know is of great importance when it comes to a moisturizer is that it has SPF to help protect my skin from the sun’s harmful rays. I’ll be honest– I tend to think that SPF isn’t as important in the winter months, but the truth is that the cold and dry weather makes my skin need more protection than ever. In the past, though, I’ve found that most moisturizers with SPF have a sticky, greasy texture that lingers on my face for hours after application. That’s why I was excited for the chance to try a dermatologist-recommended product with SPF that I haven’t tried yet – Cetaphil® Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15.

As soon as I squeezed Cetaphil® Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 into my hand, I could tell it had a different consistency than the moisturizers I’ve tried in the past. When I applied it to my face, I knew I was right. It was so silky and lightweight… I realized that I actually could’ve used LESS of it! What I loved the most is that Cetaphil® Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 instantly left my face feeling soft and not at all greasy. I could even apply makeup minutes after without having a problem.

The other thing I love about Cetaphil® Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 is that it’s so convenient. I didn’t have to go on a wild goose chase to find it– it was right in the skincare aisle at my local pharmacy. Not to mention that it wasn’t nearly as expensive as some of the other moisturizers I’ve tried.

And then there was the Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser. I’ll be honest – I’m generally just a “soap and water” girl when it comes to washing my face. The problem I usually have with cleansers is that they leave my face so dried out. Cetaphil® Gentle Skin Cleanser, though, leaves my skin feeling softer than ever. I love using it first thing in the morning to freshen my face before starting the day, and then again in the evening to make sure my face is cleansed before going to bed.

When taking into account that convenience, my skin feeling healthy and protected, and the fact that Cetaphil® products are recommended by more dermatologists than any other brand, I think it’s safe to say that Cetaphil® Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 is very much GML approved.
