When it comes to makeup, I’m one of those people who thinks it all comes down to the eyes. Ever since I first started wearing makeup in my teenage years, I’ve always focused on making my eyes stand out as much as possible. Sure, I love a good blush and lip color, but to me it’s the perfect shade of eye shadow that can instantly take my look from day to night.
During the day I’m always out running around the city for meetings and errands, and sometimes those days lead right into a dinner, happy hour, or nighttime event. Ideally I’d like to be able to stop at home and re-do my makeup, but unfortunately I don’t always get the chance to do that. It’s on those jam-packed days that I need to be able to go right into my purse and pull out a few key makeup items to freshen up my look and get ready for the night ahead.
That’s why I was so excited when Target sent me three free Eye Quads from their Sonia Kashuk cosmetics line.

Before even applying the shadows, I instantly loved the color combinations of the palettes: Showstoppers, Fair and Square, and Shimmering Sands. Each of the palettes contain four shades to create multiple looks – two neutrals and two party-ready shimmers.
What I love about the shadows and shimmers most is that they have a smooth and creamy consistency. This makes it easy to blend and combine the shades together, which lends to a more natural look than other shadows I’ve tried. It also stays on better and longer than loose shadow does.

Target also sent me some other products from the Sonia Kashuk line: their Illuminating Bronzer, Satin Luxe Lip Color, and three shades of Nail Colour.

I love each and every one of these products almost as much as the Eye Quads! They all apply seamlessly and are great shades for the upcoming summer season.
But, like I said, I’m always partial to eye shadow.
The combination of these Eye Quad matte shades and shimmering shadows is really what makes for the perfect combination to go from a day to night look in a snap. And that’s exactly what I need when those long work days quickly turn into nights out on the town!

VERYYYY black mascara and eyeliner! Oh, and Smashbox ‘fame’ lipgloss, I’m obsessed!
To go from day to night I layer on more eyeliner and mascara and sometimes darker shadow. You’re right, it’s all about the eyes!
To transform my eye makeup to go from day to night, I usually add some glitter or shimmery color to my shadows. Or add a deeper/darker color above my eye liner.

I usually make my eyes a lot darker for night time.
I got from day to night by playing up my eyes a little more. During the day, I usually just wear eyeliner and some light mascara, but at night I like to add a little color and shimmer!
During the day I wear eyeshadow & mascara. At night I add eye liner.

I always wear mascara but if I’m going out I usually throw on some shimmery shadow and eyeliner. If I’m really going all out I’ll put on some fake lashes as well.
I add a darker hue of eye shadow and a few extra coats of mascara. I’m all about the eyes for daytime -> nightime, too.

I don’t really wear makeup, but I’m really loving Kashuk’s spring mini nail colour set right now!
I add eyeliner

I usually just add a hefty dose of black eyeliner and put a little extra mascara on and call it good. It hasn’t failed me yet!
I’m pretty minimalist when it comes to makeup so I usually just vamp up the eyes with a smoky look and add some lipstick if I’m feeling wild!
i put on fake lashes and do a smokey eye with some glitter!

ohh… love this line
Since im usually tan, I carry a little compact of black/deep purple eyeshadow with me, along with mascara and eyeliner. At the end of the day, if I need a touchup, im able to add the dark shadow to the coners of my eyes for a smokey eye look! If im lucky enough to KNOW ahead of time that its going to be one of those days, ill go au naturale (with a touch of mascara) for the day – so I can be completely fresh at night
Day is light shadow and mascara. Night is darker shadow, eyeliner and dark mascara
I love the Sonia Kashuk makeup from Target! Anything from Target is wonderbar!
Extra eyeliner and dramatic eyeshadow takes my day look to night look!
I pack on the color, darker color in the corners to smoke it out a bit, more dramatic eyeliner, and more mascara.
I create a contrast between the inner and outer corners of my eyes by brightly illuminating the inner, and deepening the contrasting out v and crease. I also smudge more black liner into my lashes. Also, I never met a cat eye that didn’t stand up to any occasion.
I go for a single neutral shade during the day and a smokey eye at night
When going from day to night, I add eyeliner, darker eye shadow, and more mascara.
I always line the inside of my eyes with dark liner and add more mascara!
Awesome giveaway! I’ve been wanting to try her brand, but just haven’t had the extra cash for it yet.
To go from day to night, I add on mascara (don’t wear it usually), and do full liner on top and bottom lids!
I always add a little more eyeliner and mascara, maybe even doing a smoky shadow or something a little more dramatic!
I transform my look from day to night by adding a little eye liner, an extra sweep of eye shadow and going heavy on the mascara!I’ve never been much of a make-up person, but lately I’ve discovered that I love experimenting and finding ways to feel comfortable in make-up everyday (and night!)
To transform my look from day to night I apply some falsies (a must for my wimpy lashes!) and darken my eyelid crease with my favorite matte brown shadow. After that I just touch up my lip-gloss and I’m ready to head out!
To go from day to night I will usually use a bolder lip color and maybe put a darker eyeshadow in my crease. Oh, and freshen up my mascara and concealer!
i add liquid eyeliner!

From day-to-night, I like to keep the “natural” look, but with a little more drama in the eyes -> some eyeliner and more mascara!
I usually wear mascara and eyeliner during the day, add glittered eye shadow at night.
