Looking for an easy and delicious treat to make for your family for Easter?
Of course you are.
Sick of all of my cake batter recipes?
Of course you aren’t.
Well good, because I have a treat that everyone will love, but it takes just about 5 minutes to make and requires NO (real) cooking.

(inspired by Quick-n-easy Vanilla Fudge)
ingredients:
- 2 cups yellow cake mix (I used Betty Crocker) *
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
directions: Place cake mix and powdered sugar in a large bowl and combine. Pour in the milk, top with stick of butter, and microwave for 2 minutes. Immediately begin mixing everything together – the butter may not be fully melted but will as you continue mixing. Lastly, mix in the rainbow sprinkles, then pour fudge into a greased round cake pan. Chill for at least 2 hours before cutting. Store in the refrigerator.
* I’ve had some people say that their fudge didn’t harden well. The only thing I can think that might make a difference is the brand of cake mix you use. A few commenters have also noted that Funfetti mix DOES NOT harden!

This fudge is essentially like eating straight-up cake batter…but even better. Considering there’s no cooking/baking required either, I’d say it gives Cake Batter Blondies a serious run for their money.
And in case you didn’t grasp my obsession yet…
Here are more of my cake batter recipes:

I currently don’t have access to an oven (living in a hotel until we can move into our new house … but I’m stuck here for another 57 days!), so I love the idea of no-bake desserts. And cake batter? Count me in!
OMG, cut it out with all of these ridiculous easy and delicious looking recipes!! You’re making my pants shrink!! lol
these appear to be really healthy. i approve.
That is sarcasm correct? LOL..
we communicate mostly via sarcasm. and food.
Stop doing this!!! I need to be summer ready!
I am so glad to have found someone as obsessed with cake batter as I am! WOO
yum yum
goes straight to ya bum bum
Omg this looks amazing!! I pinned it the second I saw it! I love super easy recipes like this and will definitely be making it to bring to my next get together with my girlfriends!
Just so I’m clear… I just use the plain cake mix (powder form) or do I need to actually mix it in batter form first?
just plain, powder-form cake mix!
Thanks for clarifying about power vs batter- which would have uncooked eggs..:D
Awesome! I’m doing this NOW! Lol. Thanks.
ummm, i don’t personally know you, but i love you for this recipe. TOTES making this to take home to the fam this weekend!
Looks so pretty and probably something great to bring for Easter celebrations.
Just veganized this and popped it into the freezer…next time I won’t go the hippy route with organic sprinkles because they’re not as colorful but but but the batter tastes amazing ;]
Wow that fudge looks so good and so dangerous. Maybe I’ll make it for my Niece’s birthday this weekend.
Ah, “no bake” – I just love those words together! I tend to ruin most things.. but this, I may just try! You should make a “no bake” category on your recipe page for the baking-impaired like myself.
That’s a great idea! I’ve been meaning to update my recipe page, so I’ll definitely do that

I correctly did all the steps with all the correct ingredients, but the batter did not turn into fudge. It stayed gooey even when it chilled over night. Help?
Oh no! Sorry to hear that :/ What brand of cake mix did you use? That’s the only thing I can think would make a difference…
yes, perhaps it was the type of yellow cake mix..it was an off-brand. Thanks for the help
Is there anything with cake batter that isn’t amazingly good. I am working on my first batch of Cake Batter triffles as we speak. I can’t wait to flip through the rest of your links.
Repinned! Looks FABULOUS!
Saw these on Pinterest and couldn’t wait to make them! They are DELICIOUS -taste like cake batter and love the added texture of the sprinkles. I wasn’t sure what to do with the remaining cake mix so I ended up using 3 cups (almost the whole box) and 1.5x all of the other ingredients. Still microwaved for 2 minutes, and had perfectly thick fudge in 2 hours (I used an 8×8 pan). It was hard to wait that long to dig in!
Mmm this looks so good! Do you have any idea how many weight watchers points these are?
Hi Jen! I actually have no idea :/ Sorry! I’m thinking it would be easy to calculate the nutritional info on a website like sparkpeople.com…?
Thank you for the tip! I looked it up on sparkpeople.com and the entire pan is 109 points if anyone else was wondering!

OMG these look FAB. I’m all about cake batter recipes. Has anyone tasted the new cake batter flavored vodka. Yum.
Do you know if these wuld be easy to mail and them still be okay to eat? Maybe sub water for the milk? I would really liketo send these to someone for a birthday!
Hey Ashley! Gosh…I really don’t know :/ My first guess would be no, just because it’s already more delicate than regular fudge to begin with (the refrigeration helps it maintain the “firm” fudge consistency). You *could* give it a shot, but if you want to be safe maybe send it on dry ice??
I made this last night and it was so easy and yummy!!
I think love you.
Can I use fun fetti cake mix? Or any other kind of cake mix in the Betty Crocker family?
I haven’t tried any others (yet), but I’m thinking it would work! I know other people have used funfetti with Cake Batter Blondies and it turned out well. If you try it, let me know!
Hey Gracie! I made this fudge last weekend. It was a big hit! Can’t wait to put the recipe up on my blog this week. I also made Golden Oreo cookies n cream cake batter blondies (haha what a mouthful!). I’ll be posting those on my blog soon too – used the orig cake batter blondie recipe but threw in a TON of crushed golden double stuff oreos. They were delicious– the golden oreo cookie and cream center melted into the cake batter while cooking… seriously SO SO good.
Hey Sally! Glad you enjoyed it!
The addition of Golden Oreos to Cake Batter Blondies sounds delicious!!! I’ve been planning on making a version with regular Oreos eventually too, but will definitely have to give Golden Oreos a try

What is the definition of a stick of butter?
Hey Kerry, 1 stick of butter = 8 tablespoons of butter
Thanks! I’ve only ever seen butter in pounds, and well…I’m sure a whole pound would make this horrendous! haha, will have to try this out!
Just want to make sure that these do not need white chocolate chips?? Saw the same exact recipe somewhere else, but with white chocolate chips…and it occurred to me that this “fudge” has no chocolate. Thanks.
you can add white chocolate chips if you like, but they’re not necessary
Hi. Mine came crumbly and not solid. Can you help?
Hey Josh, the only thing I can think of is that it might depend on the cake mix you used…? I used Betty Crocker.
To fix the crumbly batch you could try to keep adding milk a little bit at the time until the fudge comes together, then refrigerate. Hope that works!!

Has anyone tried gluten free yellow cake mix for this recipe? Did it come out OK in taste/texture?

I have a random question: What do you do with the rest of the remaining yellow cake mix? You know, the powdered stuff that you have left over.
I use it for single-serving recipes! i.e. my Peanut Butter Cookie Dough (http://girlmeetslife.com/2011/11/2-ingredient-peanut-butter-cookie-dough) and Individual Cookie Cake (http://girlmeetslife.com/2012/06/recipe-remake-individual-peanut-butter-chocolate-chip-cookie-cake)
Should I put the microwave on low temperature?
I used the automatic setting on my microwave, which I’m assuming was medium or high…? You can use the low setting if you want to keep a closer eye on it, but might take a bit longer. You basically want the butter to be at least 75% melted (if it’s not fully melted it will do so as you mix everything together).

I can’t wait to try this out!! Thinking of using Christmas sprinkles and adding this to our Christmas candies.
Hi, I just made these, and though they’re way delicious, they’re too wet (more gooey). I just used Pillsbury Funfetti mix. Do you have any suggestions for how to get them to firm up? The only thing I could think was to put them in the oven on very low for a bit, but I have no idea if that even makes sense.
Ah, bummer! The only thing I can think of is that you used a different cake mix (I used Betty Crocker), which may have made a difference..? I guess my only suggestion would be to either try a Betty Crocker mix, or next time around try using less butter and/or milk.
Sorry they didn’t turn out well for you!!
