I like to think I’m a pretty classy gal.
You know – I don’t curse, I don’t smoke, and I try to maintain a kind, welcoming demeanor.
But no one can be 100% classy all the time.
Like in the morning, when you’re desperately craving a huge glass of iced tea but don’t have a pitcher to make it in, you utilize whatever resources you can.

The good news is that this Mightly Leaf Sunburst Green Tea is so refreshing that you won’t even care what sort of “pitcher” it came out of.

I’ve also recently learned that – despite baking being one of my favorite hobbies – apparently I lack grace and class whilst removing pans from a 400 degree oven.

The top-inside of my arm? Seriously, Gracie? Good thing I don’t have a wedding on Saturday where I have to wear a strapless bridesmaid dress or anything…
But, I’ve got to say that I probably lack class the most when I’m around food. And a couch. And reality TV.

That would be me chowing down on my most favorite-ever Love Grown Foods granola (which also happens to be gluten-free, holla). Who needs a bowl when it tastes so darn good straight out of the bag??

So hey, I may not be keepin’ it classy 24/7, but it could be worse…right?
Enjoy your Thursday, sweet ones! xoxo G
How would you define “classy?” What’s one of your less-than-classy habits?

Haha love this! If you saw the ‘lunchbox’, or should i say reused plastic bag, you’d know just how classy I am..or better yet, my breakfast bowl once I’m done- wiped CLEAN!
Haha – I was just joking about how klassy my recycled publix bag/lunchbox was this morning! Hey though, roll with what works!
BAHA! i drink not too much but too FAST. like i seriously look like a lush because my glass of wine or bottle of beer lasts about eight seconds usually. i’m working on it..
I do the exact same thing. Then I feel weird because I’m done with my drink and everyone else’s is still halfway full or more.
haha, I totally did the same thing the other day with iced green tea. Hey, it works just as good as a pitcher!!
AND I have an identical burn from removing a tray of pizza from the oven in high school. I call it my pizza scar
Haha! The iced tea in the coffee pot “pitcher” made me smile! Your right, Gracie, nobody can stay 100% classy 100% of the time!
Have a great day!
psh, who IS classy these days when it comes to reality TV?
Ann I just won mighty leaf from a giveaway and I can’t wait to try it
Ouch! Oven burns suck.
Class is in the eye of the beholder!
Ow that burn looks painful! Hmm my less-than-classy habit is sitting on the floor and eating meals off of the coffee table. How this started, I really have no idea, since I love my dining room table. It probably has something to do with my DVR and all of the reality tv shows I love
love this! we’re all classy in our own ways
my sorority sisters’ motto is classy not trashy. but we all have those “habits” that aren’t so classy & I myself am not graceful by anymeans .. so my not-so classy usually comes in the form of falling up steps, bruises, & a burn on on my wrist from getting brownies out of the oven as well.
I routinely use my finger to get the last licks of hummus out of the container – yes do this at work at my desk and at home. My husband likes to remind me that I really shouldn’t do this at work. I tell him why would I waste some good hummus for no reason???
You are totally my kinda gal when it comes to food and reality tv!
All I can think of is Luanne from Real Housewives of NY and her ideas of class..hahahahaha
That Love Grown Granola looks so good! I’ve been wanting it forever! I keep it classy during my Jersey Shore watching, haha.
Haha love this! Classy or not, granola by the handful is straight up good!!!
Oh I’ll be having one of my less than classy moments tonight, it’s JERSDAY!
So I’ll be curling up under a blanket with a glass of wine watching my favorite guidos and guidettes fist pump along the streets of Florence
Hmmm….I do some downright none classy things at home, but i refuse to share them, my mom just looks are at me like i’m an alien with an extreme side eye lolol. I guess mine would be drinking Drinks at a bar like it’s Water…i don’t sip enjoy and mingle, I DRANK then i get another one and then mingle. lol. I also flick things like seeds or leftovers out my mouth no matter if i’m inside or not lmbo…it will be like a spec of food. it’s gross I know, and def not classy.
Smoking isn’t healthy, but it can definitely be classy.
Haha I love this!! And hey, there is something to be said for being resourceful!!! But ouch on the arm!! I have got to try that granola though, those clusters look amazing! I’m not so classy when I drink a swig of orange juice from the carton in the morning- hey, I only want one sip, why poor myself a glass and not so classy as I cover my head in dry shampoo since I decided to sleep a little longer!
That burn on your arm looks like it hurt! I bake a lot, too, and whenever I burn myself I always think, “Really Liz? Again?” lol I think I am relatively classy. I don’t go on drinking binges or wear dresses and skirts that show of my behind. My unclassy trait actually comes out when I’m baking. I rarely swear but when I’m in the kitchen it’s suddenly like I’m from the Jersey Shore. My friends make fun of me all the time for it.
i cannot find lovegrown granola!!! where do you get yours??
haha too funny (except the burnt arm part
)!
I’d say we redefine “classy” in our 20s out of necessity (aka being poor). It keeps us fresh, ya know? (<–finding the silver lining here…) Just this morning I had an (older) friend over, and greeted her barefoot at the door. Woops. She kinda gave my feet a disdainful look. But hey, a new pair of flip-flops vs. an iced latte? I'm gonna go with the latter.
Good job finding a solution to your pitcher problem! A burnt arm is never good :/ I often will get little blisters on my knuckles becuase I lift the tray out of the oven and bump my hand- why I don’t just slide it out, IDK?!
Classy= stylish and sophisticated [standard definitions never fail!]
Haha lovin the change from an ordinary pitcher! Gotta mix things up to keep it fun
Gosh, I always am finding mysterious bruises, scrapes, burns on my body. I am SUCH a klutz!!
My motto is “sassy, classy never trashy!” I have to say though, I’m not always sassy or classy. I really like lounging out in my robe all day and eating salads out of the big bowls I mixed them up in (with the giant spoon and fork too…wow I’m cool) or yogurt straight from the container! Oopsiesss
P.s. I’m a new blogger and have been obsessed with your blog ever since I first found it!!
I’m always burning myself while baking too! But I like to think that it doesn’t make me unclassy… it just makes me a klutz.
I suppose eating Peanut Butter from the jar isn’t classy… But I LOVE doing it. Ha, ha.
My least classy moment has to be back in law school when my friend and I would take study break for the Hills, the City and America’s Next Top Model … while enjoying wine from a jug-o-wine. Really? Yes! We loved the jug.
[...] let’s be real. I totally gave myself a (yet another) massive oven-burn while making this, but at least that’s a downgrade from 6-stitches on my [...]
