oh, hi!

I'm the girl, Gracie. Here at GML you can follow my journey of dreaming, working, eating, loving, dancing, and blogging my way through life in NYC.

If you look to the right column of the page under “navigate” you’ll notice that I’ve created a New York category. I’ve been getting a ton of emails lately from people asking for suggestions as to where to eat/shop/etc. when in the city, so I figured it would be helpful to organize them all in one place.

On that note, the other day my friend took me to a new place for lunch – FoodParc in Midtown’s Eventi Hotel.

FoodParc is sort of like an upscale cafeteria/food court. One of the things that makes it unique is that you place your order and pay via a touch-screen computer (I’m sure my fellow Wawa lovers appreciate that ;) ). While that’s definitely an interesting and fun perk to FoodParc, there are also some decent food options.

There are four different food stands – Fornetti (salads, sandwiches and pastas all served on brick oven flatbread), 3Bs (burgers, BLTs, shakes and floats), RedFarm (dim sum, dumplings, Chinese BBQ), and The Press (coffee drinks, tea, pastries and gelato).

I went with the Pesto and Grilled Vegetable salad from Fornetti, which was served atop a delicious naan-like flatbread.

It was insanely good. Let’s just say that if there was ever a reason to eat vegetables, this would be it.

FoodParc didn’t seem to be most inexpensive of places, but from my experience you definitely get your money’s worth. My salad was $9.50 but easily could’ve served as two meals (although, in this case it acted as one. I’m a growing girl, what can I say?).

While FoodParc might seem a little too techno-geek for some, I thought it was a pretty cool spot – definitely worth a shot if you’re looking to mix up your normal lunch routine.

xoxo G
