Hi dolls! I’ve arrived safe and sound in Chicago
After quite the long day of traveling, Katy and I checked into our lovely hotel room.
Rewind to earlier today, where Gabriela and I grabbed lunch at O’Hare while waiting for Katy to arrive; A veggie sub from Quizno’s for her and a turkey sandwich + fruit for moi (see Gabriela? I can speak French too
).
Not the most satisfying of meals, but I have a feeling there are some great eats ahead this weekend to make up for it.
I also sipped on some iced coffee. Travel days require that extra caffeine boost, you know?
Snackage included a Vega Bar that Gabriela gave me. At first I was skeptical (I may or may not have thought it was going to taste like grass), but it was delicious!

We spent some down time at the airport blogging, writing Operation Beautiful notes, and enjoying the first of our souvenirs from the Windy City.
…I think I drew Gabriela into my lollipop obsession. Oops!
Once Katy arrived, we all hopped on the blue line and headed for the hotel. A train-ride photo shoot ensued, obv
Katy and I are going to spend the next hour or so relaxing…and I’m going to track down some water for some major chugging-action. Traveling in the summer heat can be quite exhausting!
Plans for tonight include dinner with a bunch of sassy ladies, followed by a fun event! Look for a recap later tonight
Buhbye for now, lovebugs! xoxo G
- Have you ever been to Chicago? Any must-see’s you suggest I visit?
- What’s your favorite part about traveling? Least favorite?

OMG – Chicago is one of my absolute fav cities. I LOVE it there. It is one of the most wonderful places. Okay – I would do the mandatory Michigan avenue walk. I would eat at some of the wonderful restaurants. Where are you staying? I can give you recommendations:) I LOVE IT. Have I said that?
Oh – and the best gym is there – David Barton gym. Go there! It’s worth the money. it is like working out in a spa!!!
ahh you are all so freakin cute! i wish i was going!! have so much fun, i cant wait to hear about it!!!! I ALWAYS drink 2x coffee when i travel!
I loved the Chicago Diner. It’s all vegetarian {and it looks like a hole in the wall), but my husband isn’t vegetarian, and he says it was the best meal he’s had possibly EVER. We have considered flying from Philly to Chicago just to go there again.
Ah see you tomorrow, can’t wait to be there too!!!!
Oh, I’m loving all the ladies I read getting together.
Ohhh, your are going to have such a great time!
I have never been to Chicago, but I can’t wait to hear all about your adventures! I hate waiting around in airports, but I love meeting new people!!

I’ve been to Chicago twice.. which my last trip being in March. I would definitely go see “the bean” (which is actually supposed to be a cloud — hehe) but it’s so fun how you can take pictures of yourself in it!
Save some party for me!!! These rooms are a total blast from the past, haaa.
It sounds like you guys are having so much fun already!
I love sight-seeing and trying out new restaurants when I travel. But I hate long transportation times!!
glad you guys are having a good time so far! the picture of you on the bed is cute … reminds me of a senior picture.
PS – I heard Dashboard on Pandora earlier and thought of you!
